Hardeeville is a small southern town with the distinction of being at a major travel crossroads… I-95 and US 17. More than just another of the hundreds of nondescript exits, Hardeeville is home to nearly 1200 motel rooms and dozens of restaurants. It’s also a central location when visiting Carolina’s “Low Country”.
Places to Stay
As one of the major I-95 interchanges, exit 5 is literally a lodging paradise! Here is only a partial list of the motels here: Budget Inn, Carolina Inn Express, Comfort Inn, Days Inn, Economy Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Howard Johnson, Knights Inn, Magnolia Motel, Masters Inn, Red Carpet Inn, and Super 8. If you’re an RV’er, there’s camping nearby too! The Gateway Campground is easy to get to from I-95 exit 8.
Places to Eat
If seafood is your weakness, try Cap’n Bill’s. For great steaks check out Gene’s at the Budget Inn. I-95, Exit 5 also has dozens of fast foods too! Burger King, Denny’s, KFC, McDonald’s, Shoney’s, Subway, Wendy’s and the Waffle House are just a few. I personally recommend Shoney’s… they have reasonably priced meals and something for everyone!
Places to Go
There are a number of excellent golf courses nearby including Whispering Pines. Shopping is also plentiful here. Bargain hunt at the Hardeeville Factory Outlet Mall, located right at the exit. There’s also a tourist info center here too!
Getting Around
Everythings right at exit 5… both east and west. What could be easier? Exit 8, just 3 miles north on I-95 is expected to grow commercially as well.
